 The Fighting Lady, 1945

    The Fighting Lady is an Oscar-winning Documentary Feature. Filmed aboard The USS Yorktown and the USS TICONDEROGA! Featuring Captain Dixie Kiefer and the men of the Big"T".
It is shot in color from a 16mm camera with narrated audio/dialog. This is a very interesting look at life on board a U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier during World War II. We see not only elements of day-to-day life but the waiting in ready rooms, scrambling to get in the air for engagements and bombardment and the returns from battle

The movie's other star attraction is actual World War II combat footage putting you in the middle of the chaos of a carrier deck strewn with flaming wrecks or the nail-biting tension of a ship's radar room.

The Big Aircraft Carrier		 This kid's-eye tour of the largest ship in the Navy invites the viewer into a small airplane on land, takes them on a brief flight, through a landing on the U.S.S. Nimitz and through takeoff again.

In the Navy		 This has always been a favorite A & C movie. The routines the two have are hilarious, the Andrew Sisters are wonderful, and you will absolutely love the main song "Where in the Navy, Watch Dogs of Liberty!".
